INDIANAPOLIS (March 1, 2023)– Ivy Tech Community College and TechPoint today announced a partnership that will support a statewide strategy designed to solidify the state’s reputation as a vibrant tech hub. The collaboration provides career pathways for Hoosiers that meet the needs of employers for tech and tech-reliant talent through Ivy Tech’s Ivy+ IT Academy, and supports TechPoint’s Mission 41K goal of cultivating the next generation of tech leaders over the next seven years. Butler University partnering with Ascend Indiana to connect students with Indiana employers
INDIANAPOLIS (February 21, 2023) – Butler University is partnering with Ascend Indiana to connect more students to good and promising career opportunities in Indiana. Through the Ascend Network (the initiative’s online job matching platform), Butler students can connect with Indiana jobs and internships that match their skill sets and interests and receive increased one-on-one career guidance and job search support. In addition, this partnership provides Indiana’s leading employers with a unique platform for hiring Butler students. In a recent Inside INdiana Business interview with Gerry Dick, TechPoint President and CEO Ting Gootee and Elevate Ventures CEO Christopher Day, talked about the state of the Indiana tech sector. Gootee says despite major layoffs by tech companies such as Microsoft and Amazon, the outlook for the Indiana tech sector is much better. Day says the national situation creates an opportunity for Indiana. In the 2022 Indiana Tech Venture Report, TechPoint reported that more than 130 tech companies reported $441 million in capital investment in 2022.
