New study: Tech adoption among Indiana advanced manufacturers more than doubles from 2020 to 2021

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 9, 2021) A new Conexus Indiana study shows that more than 40 percent of Indiana advanced manufacturers surveyed have successfully implemented or piloted an Industry 4.0 technology, more than double the figure from a similar study in 2020. Study results also confirmed the impact of the Indiana Manufacturing Readiness Grants program with 94 percent reporting that the grant enabled, accelerated or expanded their tech adoption project. Student teams from Indiana University, Purdue University and Purdue Polytechnic Anderson win Conexus Indiana National Collegiate Case Competition

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 9, 2021) Students from Indiana University, Purdue University and Purdue Polytechnic Institute (Anderson) were named winners in the sixth annual Conexus Indiana National Collegiate Case Competition. The case competition fielded 24 teams and challenged the students to solve one of two advanced manufacturing and logistics business cases with first- second- and third-place winners named in three different tracks. The three first-place teams each won $5,000, with second- and third-place teams each taking home $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. The Conexus Indiana Case Competition is held annually and encourages college students to use what they’ve learned in the classroom in a simulated real-world environment. INDIANAPOLIS (November 9, 2021) — Black and Hispanic residents in Indiana and Marion County experience significant gaps in education outcomes and employment opportunities compared to white residents, a new analysis shows. Disparities are pronounced in K-12 education and continue through postsecondary education and the workforce, hindering individuals’ ability to prosper, businesses’ ability to thrive, and the vitality of the city and state. The report, released today by Business Equity for Indy’s (BEI) Learning and Talent Opportunities Taskforce, examines public data from the U.S. Census, Indiana Management Performance Hub and other state agencies.
