Manufacturing Readiness Grants continue securing investments in smart technology

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 9, 2021) – The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), in partnership with Conexus Indiana, announced the fourth round of awards totaling more than $2.8 million to 34 Indiana businesses in Manufacturing Readiness Grants to support a projected $17.4 million in technology-based capital investment in Indiana. "Hoosier manufacturers are preparing now for the industries of tomorrow," said Governor Eric J. Holcomb. The study from TEConomy Partners, ESSENTIAL: The economic impact of Central Indiana’s healthcare and life sciences sector, examined the influence of decades of investments in the region as well as how the sector provides benefits to Indiana’s other industries such as manufacturing, technology and retail. Challenge) prize purse and an opportunity to participate in Elevate Ventures’ Fall 2021 Regional Nexus Pitch Competition. The event was the culmination of six weeks of work that involved 170 students and recent coding graduates from Eleven Fifty Academy working on 39 teams with 81 coaches from 42 Indianapolis area tech companies.
