The Indiana Manufacturers Association and Conexus Indiana to Collaborate on Workforce Development Initiatives

INDIANAPOLIS (December 3, 2019) The Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA) and Conexus Indiana today announced they will collaborate on talent development initiatives that will train current and emerging workers across Indiana for careers in advanced manufacturing. IMA’s Indiana Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (INFAME) program and Conexus Indiana’s Catapult Indiana program both offer tangible skills and career development opportunities to Hoosiers looking to enter the manufacturing industry. IIB: Tech Sector Rolls Out Red Carpet for Talent

Earlier this year, TechPoint, the tech initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, partnered with TMAP LLC to launch the "Wish You Were Here" campaign in an effort to bring former Hoosiers currently working out of state back to Indiana. TechPoint President and CEO Mike Langellier said they had hoped to attract 100-150 applicants but ended up with nearly 400 from across the country. Nearly 30 applicants were chosen to come to Indianapolis for a weekend in early October to learn about the tech community, which also included a red carpet experience. INDIANAPOLIS (September 4, 2019) – The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) was formed in 1999 and today, 20 years later, it is celebrating the many milestones that have been achieved by strategically bringing together the chief executives of Central Indiana’s prominent corporations, private foundations and universities to positively impact the economy, workforce and quality of life in Central Indiana. In the 1980s and 1990s, one significant growth strategy in Indianapolis was the promotion of the city as an amateur athletics center.
