Ascend Indiana names new President and CEO and New Board Chair

INDIANAPOLIS – The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) and Ascend Indiana announce that Conexus Indiana COO and Chief Talent Officer Brad Rhorer has been named president and CEO of Ascend Indiana, CICP’s talent and workforce development initiative, and will succeed Jason Kloth in January. Concurrently, Board Vice Chair Bridget Boyle, head of people and culture for Roche Diagnostics, has been named chair of the Ascend Board of Directors, succeeding founding chair Mark Hill, who will step down at the beginning of the year. AgriNovus Indiana announces winners of Producer-Led Innovation Challenge, awards over $30K to advance agtech

Ascend Indiana receives $2.45 million in grants to advance youth apprenticeships statewide

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 4, 2023) – Ascend Indiana, the talent and workforce development initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), has received a $1.7 million grant from the Walton Family Foundation and a $750,000 grant from the Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship (PAYA) to scale youth apprenticeship programs across Indiana. Ascend acts as an intermediary, assisting organizations to start youth apprenticeship programs by building capacity, sharing resources, and providing access to state and national partners. The grant from the Walton Family Foundation was awarded to CICP Foundation, Inc. to advance the charitable activity of Ascend Indiana, and will establish a second cohort of five sites statewide that will each receive $25,000 to design their youth apprenticeship pilots. IU School of Medicine’s Bruce Lamb named BioCrossroads’ 2023 Watanabe Life Sciences Champion

Researcher has contributed on a global scale to efforts to overcome Alzheimer’s disease INDIANAPOLIS — The BioCrossroads Board of Directors today named Bruce T. Lamb, PhD, as the recipient of the 2023 August M. Watanabe Life Sciences Champion of the Year Award. Lamb is the executive director of the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute at Indiana University School of Medicine and co-director of the Neurosciences Institute, a partnership between Indiana University Health and IU School of Medicine.
