On a recent edition of Inside INdiana Business (IIB) host Gerry Dick interviewed CICP President and CEO David Johnson and Cummins Chairman and CEO Tom Linebarger about the three safe return-to-work playbooks for various economic sectors. The playbooks were developed and released as a collaboration between CICP and Cummins with the focus on restarting the economy the right way. These practical and comprehensive guides were produced by CICP, in partnership with Cummins Inc. May 6, 2020 Statement from Marion County Business Leaders: As leaders of Central Indiana business, community and healthcare organizations, we support the difficult decision by Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett to extend until May 15 Marion County’s stay-at-home order in response to COVID-19. Putting public health first, utilizing data-driven approaches, and acting upon guidance from local public health officials, necessitates a different response in densely populated Marion County than in the majority of the rest of the state. Our community’s frontline healthcare heroes have performed inspirationally and admirably in meeting the pandemic challenge. 16 Tech awards $500,000 in first round of community investment fund grants

16 Tech Community Corporation today announced $500,000 in grant awards to 15 projects and resident-led initiatives that support the neighborhoods closest to the 16 Tech Innovation District. The grants are the first awards of the 16 Tech Community Investment Fund, a community-focused fund launched in 2019 to ensure access, opportunity and revitalization of the neighborhoods in and around the 16 Tech Innovation District. “Today’s announcement of grant awards is the culmination of more than a year-long process to develop fund priorities and guidelines in partnership with the 16 Tech Investment Fund Advisory Committee, neighborhood associations and the City of Indianapolis.
