TechPoint expands popular Xtern talent program to Muncie

July 28, 2020 — On Friday, July 31, TechPoint, the nonprofit, industry-led growth accelerator for Indiana’s technology companies, and Governor Eric Holcomb will announce the winners of the TechPoint Summer Opportunities for Students Challenge (S.O.S.). The Challenge, provided up to 500 students from Indiana colleges and universities a five-week summer internship experience, helping them strengthen their resumes, demonstrate skills, make professional connections and develop potential solutions to a number of COVID-19-related problems. Early indications show that nearly 4,000 people tuned into the first-ever virtual event, making it the largest Mira Awards gala celebration in history. INDIANAPOLIS (May 27, 2020) — Thousands of college students from across the U.S. have lost on-site summer internships due to COVID-19, but 500 of those college students from Indiana are getting some help thanks to a new challenge being launched by TechPoint, Indiana’s industry-led, nonprofit tech sector growth initiative.
