CICP has released its 2022 annual report, marking a year of significant change for the organization.
CICP marked many milestones including a transition of leadership. After ten years at the helm of CICP, David L. Johnson retired at the end of the year. Named as his successor was former Cummins executive Melina Kennedy. She assumed the role of CEO while Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Latoya Botteron was promoted to president. She also retained her role as CFO.
CICP’s five talent and industry sector initiatives AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana and TechPoint continued to make a positive impact on their sectors and attracting and retaining top talent.
2022 saw CICP and all of its initiatives come together for the IN ADVANCE Summit to educate high school and early-in-career talent about the advanced industries that drive the Indiana economy and create the jobs of the future.
Business Equity for Indy, a partnership between CICP, the Indy Chamber and supported by the Indianapolis Urban League, launched a new framework to focus on People, Procurement and Policy.
It was also a year of advancement for the 16 Tech Innovation District and AnalytiXIN.
