A recent IndyStar article examined reasons why Indiana (so far) has had a more successful reopening than many other states.

Mark Muro, a senior fellow at Brookings Institution, sees the coalition of business, academic and philanthropic leaders that make up the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership as a contributing factor. In particular, he points to the three safe return-to-work playbooks developed by CICP, it’s initiatives, Cummins and many of CICP’s member organizations.

While other states and entities elsewhere have put together reopening playbooks, very few have the degree of precision found in these documents, Muro said. “…the detail levels set in these private sector checklists in Indiana I think sets a standard.”
