Indianapolis has now formally stopped approving new data centers through 2027
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Development Commission voted 6–0 to impose an immediate moratorium on new data-center approvals through Dec. 31, 2027, completing the action after the City-County Council’s earlier 23–1 vote.
